I arrived at JFK around 8:40 pm, checked my luggage and then headed to security. The line for security was so long that I am confident to say that I at least spent a good hour there.
10:10 sitting at gate A3 waiting to board. Very very sleepy. Still wondering why I am at the airport. I simply cannot believe they printed out my boarding pass, I was cleared at security and now maybe just maybe I might wake up from this dream….
10:54 sitting in 66A window seat. Tears uncontrollably fill my eyes… and I think to myself ‘This is a dream come true…’
11:22 about to really take off…the lights of the Empire State Building bids me Bon Voyage. See you in the land of King Charles the Third.
5:08 or 10:08 30 minutes away from Heathrow . My sense of time is nonexistent.
I see glimpses of the English countryside through the clouds(apparently they are actually not as fluffy as they look).
5:23 or 10:23 I…I…I think I am in Texas?
5:41 or 10:41 okay maybe just maybe I AM ACTUALLY IN LONDON!!!!!
5:48 landed
12:33 waiting for Lorz to show up
1:31 still waiting… I guess one thing Heathrow isn’t known for is their punctuality of delivery passengers luggages
1:40 we found our driver
1:57 we are now on our way to the hotel
3:37 settled in at the hotel…still feels like I am in the United States of America
3:41 Ms. Abby graced us with her royal presence
3:42 the trio is completed
5:30 orientation; we almost fell asleep…jet lag is real
6:00 we walked around our hotel
6:30 we took the bus Golders Green then from there we took the Tube(chewube) to Charing Cross. We emerge from the underground and walked towards Trafalgar Square which is indeed immaculate.
7:30 we ate supper at Coal hole. It is a very old restaurant and we had to choose which door to open in other to get out of the toilet.
After the toilet door incident we walked back to Trafalgar Square…London at night is a different kind of vibe. The architecture seems as if it has come to life…breathtaking beauty. Leicester Square reminds me of NYC. The led lights… the crowd…I love it.
Oh and we saw a beautiful clock that we thought was so beautiful…. Five minutes later we find out that the clock we were looking at was THE BIG BEN. 100 percent tourist but we are not ashamed.
9:30 Back on the chewube towards Cricklewood.
