9:30 the bus came to pick us up. I was very sleepy and sadly we were going on a bus tour. I got half of what our local tour guide said and half came in and left.

11:30 we stoped for coffee. I of course had another croissant, my third one of the day…

12:00 left for Versailles.

12:50 arrived. We ate lunch

2:15 we entered the palace. This is a place with an extensive history. Versailles is a place that you have to visit for you to really understand the depth of how much money, the significance of it all. Our tour guide said, ‘Versailles wasn’t built for comfort. It was built to to show the power that the king had.’ And every inch of it proves this point. It is expansive, 2,000 acres of land. It was a place built by royalty so that it is easier for them to control everything and everyone around them. Versailles is a place that I wouldn’t mind going to over and over again.

4:15 left Versailles and went back to the hotel.

5:30 Us girls decided to go to Le Village Saint-Paul. It is an historical landmark. Paris is beautiful. Every where you go it is a Pinterest worthy picture. We stoped at Place de Vosges for awhile and just watched people go about their everyday life. After a while we decided to keep going. We stoped for gelato…maybe because the gelato was so good we decided to walk an hour 15 min to the Eiffel Tower. So, we began our journey. As we were walking the sun began to set and since we were walking towards the west it was beautiful. We stopped at one of the bridges that connects both sides of the city and the view from there was amazing. You had the sun setting in the background and in the foreground you had the Eiffel Tower and the Seine River. After owing and awwing we continued on our journey… two thousand years later…we made it to an ideal spot where we can see the Tower and the River at the same time. We were there for a very long time.

Paris is a charming city. Today was a good day and hopefully tomorrow will be as well.

But the best news of all is that my sister is cancer FREE!!! RANDALYN I am so so happy for you!!

See you later,

Abigael
